Young Londoners are eligible for a free MenACWY vaccine. It was made available free of charge in October last year, as part of a move by NHS England and Public Health England to drive up uptake of the vaccine.
All those aged 18 to 25 are eligible for the free vaccine. Those who might have missed the vaccination in previous years remain eligible up until their 25th birthday, whether attending university or not. Meningitis Research Foundation’s online eligibility checker can be found here. Young people can get the vaccination from their GP all year round. MenACWY vaccine is now available at Andover Medical Centre.
